Since 2011 LIMA has provided workshops, platforms, education, information, advice, shows and opportunities for Pacific arts and artists, growing engagement and cultural value in arts across Aotearoa. LIMA has a foundation based on supporting work that is about Pasifika voices and stories being told in the general public, reflected and valued in Aotearoa. Pasifika are a vulnerable people across all the areas of need in Aotearoa, and LIMA sees their work as benefitting not just one artist but all Pasifika to be able to see their stories, faces and voices in theatres, physical spaces, online and screen.
